  • hello have you the part number or a pic of the pcv valve/breather you used thanks reply to ginosas1__gmail.com
    Part 2...

I did this and, as a result, have no oil in the air filter and did it almost concurrrently wit the ignition upgrade so I can't tell you how it affected performace by itself. But I can tell you the vehicle is running OUTSTANDING!

    Hope this helps.

If it idles OK and is fine up to (or around) 3.5k....then you may have an issue with crankcase ventilation. Let me articulate.....

My recommnedation would be to replace the PCV valve with a breather type of PCV valve. It looks like a standard breather cap that has the wire mesh in the housing with the additional PCV valve as part of the assembly. Fits right in. Bought it at Autozone. Where I think this would benift you is it would allow the crankcase to breathe at higher rpm's. Question - Do you have oil in the air filter? If you do then the breather line going from the air filter to the rear of the valve cover is acting as an outlet for the crankcase. So here is a sitiuatuion where airflow (and oil) is coming into the air cleaner vice air going into the crankcase (and then coming back via the PCV valve) for proper ventilation. See next entry.
