    Engine died and blowing fuses

I was thinking Camshaft position sensor until you mentioned all the blown fuses. The blown fuses do sound like some brakes in the wiring harness to me.

Found this today while working on my Jeep

I was working underneath my Jeep today when I looked up at the frame. Someone had written this in the dirt underneath my Jeep, where only I would see it. After questioning all the suspects it turns out it was my 11-year-old daughter. In case you can't read it, it says "take a shower". Happy...

No start on the old 96er, with clues

Does your XJ have an ODBII port? If so, you may try to pull some codes and see if it will tell you what's up. Mark makes a good point, it could also be the fuel filter / bad gas.

the 03 rhd tj is still down

Are you getting codes, or just hard shifts? I've been reading up on my 42rle, and have heard that it can sometimes be fixed by a shift solenoid like this: https://www.amazon.com/04800171AA-Refurbished-Transmission-Compatible-Chrysle-r/dp/B0B3TFKQMP or a valve body like this...

What did you do to your Jeep today?

I got tired of the ratty look of my inside tailgate. I bought a Bedrug liner and velcro-ed it on. I think it looks pretty sharp. Sent from my Pixel 6a using Tapatalk

    Windshield seal rubber a floppin'

Is there something in the channel that prevents the rubber from going back into place? Maybe some leaves or other gunk? I'd try cleaning it out with a small screwdriver before I give up.

    TerryMason's 2005 Jeep TJ Build

I decided to add a winch to my Jeep, and went with the Apex 12,000 lb winch from harbor freight. I mounted that on top of a rough country winch plate. I haven't tried it out yet, but the build quality seems good. I made sure to wire in the disconnect as well. The winch came with this...

Help identifying wires and a harness

Can you back the camera up a bit and give a better idea where this is in your Jeep / engine bay? What do they plug into?

    Is this brake rotor cracked?

I also noticed that the cracks don't seem to outline the actual pads. Sent from my Pixel 6a using Tapatalk

    Is this brake rotor cracked?

I put about 50 mi on it, but the cracks look just as bad as they did before. However, we're back in business boys. Two new rotors and pads from RockAuto. I'm glad I noticed those rotors when I did. Sent from my Pixel 6a using Tapatalk

    07 wrangler engine swap questions

I googled around - assuming I have the right part number, the mechanic's price looks correct: https://www.moparpartsgiant.com/parts/mopar-cover-chain-case~68027317aa.html?vin=&make=Jeep&model=Wrangler&year=2007&submodel=&extra1=&extra2=&filter=()&location=pd:i2181995,12 I was thinking that it...

    Is this brake rotor cracked?

Feels fine, and you're right, it does look like the outline of a pad. The Jeep sat for a week or two, so corrosion is likely. I may go back and hit it with brake clean and see if the outline comes off, or maybe just run it around a couple of miles. If the outline is permanent then I think...

    Is this brake rotor cracked?

I've got some faint lines and one of the front rotors on my 2005 Wrangler. Are these cracks? It almost looks like an indentation where the pad would sit. I don't mind replacing the rotors if it makes sense, but at the same time I don't want to waste money. Sent from my Pixel 6a using Tapatalk
