ok , its the heat exchanger and the heat sheil your talking bout replaceing isnt worth replaceing. you might have to buy a whole new exhaust manifold . i havent seen any one who sells just the wrap around heat sheil you want. try a dealer and see what they sell. or do the smart thing pul off...

yes i still routed the lines through the rad. i just changed the filter. early too for the change. cooler is mounted right in front of the rad lines run into rad to the cooler back to the transmission . i'll eliminate the rad and see if the temp goes down. thanks guys

alot of people will tell you to pull the carter and put on the motorcraft 2150 carb. i myself have done it and it works great. if emissions are something you can get by on its worth the $100 to do.
