    Poll/ info/ help please? lol

Get an old CJ, and slowly build it to what you want. You should be able to get a good solid CJ in the $4K range. Now you have $5K to spend on something that will be a practical car to drive day in and day out. I had an Accord. If you need something with more room, get an older XJ. They are...

Jeepz.com (almost) Fall Giveaway - sponsored by Tuffy Security Products

Just a heads up guys, Crutchfield has Tuffy stereo consoles on closeout for $199. If you don't have one they are well worth the money. I already had them in both of my CJ7's and will be ordering one for Dad for Christmas to put in his Scrambler.

    D-Rings

Most of these are for the rear bumper, but the brackets are pretty much the same with the only difference being the mounting holes on the rear were not quite centered on the bracket so the brackets would line up using the factory holes in the crossmember. The front brackets had the holes...

    D-Rings

I had some brackets made for my front bumper. I used angle iron bolted to the frame on either side to tie the brackets into the frame, and they bolted over the factory flat steel bumper. Not sure what a TJ bumper looks like, but pics of my setup can be found here..... D-Ring question - Jeep...

    What's your Jeep Biography?

1950 Willys Jeepster (2wd convertible made from 48-51). Mom had this one when she was in high school, grandad sold it when I was 14, and I pitched a fit about it. Dad bought a new 85 Scrambler. It currently has 36XX miles on it. Needless to say, I didn't get to drive it much, so when I was...

    84 258 w/ Weber: Blow-by?

uhh, you should have a PCV valve going from one of the ports on the top of the valve cover, and either a breather valve or a hose running to the air cleaner (for air being sucked INTO the crankcase). Almost looks like the back port is plugged on your valve cover.

    Warn vs. Ramsey

Warns tend to be a bit faster, but both have a good reputation. Don't know that one is better than the other. I have Warn, my ex-brother-in-law has Ramsey. Neither of us have had any trouble from our winches. I'm leery of the wireless winch remotes. I remember seeing a winch that wouldn't...

Has anyone installed the 2100 Motorcraft from the guy in Calif?

Depending on how much work you want to put into it, you could do it cheaper yourself by getting one out of a junkyard, or even going to your local napareillyzone and getting a reman one. There is a TON of info out there on the MC swap and with the ebay guy you're really paying for the info/...

    Tuffy

Pics or more detailed description please. I've got a newer Tuffy in one Jeep that fits perfectly, and an older Tuffy in the other Jeep that sits really low and makes leaning on the armrest a bit less confortable than he newer one. I've thought about taking the older one out and modifying the...

    Tuffy

Pretty good bit of room between the tunnel and the transmission. I've got tuffy's in two of my 3 Jeeps and they're attached with two bolts in the back and one in the front (all three are accessed inside the console). None of the bolts interfere with anything under the Jeeps.

    Where can I get a Motorcraft 2100?

best place is a junkyard. Look for any old ford car or truck with a V6 or V8. One of mine came off of a 78 mustang w 289, another came off of a ford granada with V6. You should be able to get one for $30-50 out of a junkyard. If you want to get one from oreillynapazone, go tell them you need...

heat/AC fan only works on high..??

check for a ground. My wipers will work like heck on high, but unless the ground wire on the switch is hooked up I get no lower speeds. On the CJ heaters there is a resistor for lower speeds, and that would be another place to look.

    nice scrambler for 4G!

No such animal. V8 was never offered in the '8 and they sure as heck didn't put it behind the T5. Still a good deal on an '8. I've seen a good '8 frame go for 1/2 that.

Gas Prices in your town ???

We are printing $'s as fast as we can. That's devaluing the hell out of the currency. It's going to get a LOT worse, cause if they stop, the economy collapses, and if they don't stop, we turn into the weimar republic. It's the cost of decades of runaway govt and private spending and massive...

Good to see you on here again tug. Gun stores will do well this year with the election coming up. After that might be a little iffy given the candidates' 2nd amendment stances. Glad you're doing well! Check in more often.
