    weber carbs

I saw something over on JU that said if you screw in the idle screw past a certain point that it allows fuel to drain out of the bowl. My cold starting issue appeared after I had the engine rebuilt and the guy who installed it said he couldn't get it tuned like he wanted it. It runs fine but...

    weber carbs

I love mine. They're expensive, and some say they are hard to tune (I've had mine since 98 and haven't had to tune it yet (although it has gotten hard to start when it sits for more than 24 hours or so which I think means I'm due for some tuning). It has a lot more power than the motorcraft I...

    Got my motorcraft carb!

There was someone on this board who used a 1.21 and said it worked fine. I had the post saved to my favorites on my computer but the thread won't pull up with the link anymore since they changed the board over to vbulletin. I've got a 1.08 on mine and have a 1.21 I plan on using if my weber...

    Got my motorcraft carb!

That's about right as far as price goes. Put the carb on and see if you can get it running first. Check what you have now and if it's running rich you know you need to get 3 sizes that are all smaller than your current size. Mine's got 47's so I'd probably get 43,45,46. One of those should...

    Motocraft 2150

That's for your AC. You don't need to hook it up. I have AC on my jeep and didn't hook it up and everything works fine.

not sure what you're talking about. Where is it?

    Got my motorcraft carb!

It outta work ok, but with 1.23 venturi you're gonna be running rich unless you've modded your engine. You might get away with it like it is, you might try rejetting it, and worst case scenario you might not get it tuned and have to try to find a 1.08 or a 1.14. Click on my username and "find...

    Latest scam

My mom (63) got an email offering her a 2nd chance offer on a FSJ a couple of days ago. Funny thing is she didn't bid on it. She immediately emailed me asking if I had anything to do with it (I didn't even know she had an ebay account). Anyhow, I set up a fake yahoo email account and emailed...

no love returned - exhaust probs?

You know what's funny is Kali and all the other commie states require the bone stock factory setup for smog, when a properly tuned good (MC2100/weber) carb with ignition upgrade and a nutter will run cleaner than the factory setup ever did. Typical govt BS.

    Outraged Muslims....OH MY!!!!!

Islam, "religion of peace". HAH. There ARE non-violent Muslims out there. The problem is they don't speak out against the acts of violence that their fellow Muslims are performing, which as far as I'm concerned is condoning the violence. Condoning violence is almost as bad as performing...

    Motocraft 2150

Just about any ford V6 and V8 will have a MC21XX on it. Mine came off of an 83 granada. Just ask for a ford 2 barrel and you'll probably get the right one. I have a weber and a MC and actually like the weber better. The MC was a lot cheaper but the weber has a lot more power. Have you tried...

Jeep - 1, Eclipse - 0 (Steel Push bar vs. Plastic bumper) pics!

Man if I hit a ghettofabulous POS like that I think I'd just drive off. Douches who drive cars like that ALWAYS have a warrant out for doing something douchish so they're not gonna call the cops. You should have backed up, hit him again for driving a douchemobile, and then driven off.....

    The wonderful carter carb

You'll need to look at the venturi size (stamped on the drivers side of the carb) 1.08 is correct. See what kind of choke you want. Most people recommend manual but I have the electric choke that came on mine that works fine (I don't want to have to work a manual choke, but that's just me)...

    The wonderful carter carb

there's a link in my first response to your question where a guy sells the adapter to mount the MC 2barrel carb to a 1 barrel intake. Says price is $25...... edited: guess I forgot the link....duh. quote from about 1/2 way down the listing in the "question and answer" part...

    The wonderful carter carb

You'd be better off with an earlier model. If you'll recheck the links I posted you'll see on the later model carbs the base will not completely seal against the adapter without a baseplate or a phoenic (sp) spacer. If you go to a junkyard a lot of late 304's (Jeep) and Fords will have the...

    The wonderful carter carb

The 2100 will work on a 232 or a 258 but you'll have to replace the intake manifold with a later 2 barrel intake or I thing (not sure) that you might be able to get an adapter to make it work but I'm not sure on that.... Ok, edited to add this link where the guy sell the adapter plate for $25...

    The wonderful carter carb

Just about any ford with a V8 or V6 from the mid 80's down to the mid 60's will have a MC21XX on it. Jeep wagoneers and other early FSJ's with V8's also have the MC on them. I'd just stop at the front desk and ask if they have any late 70's ford 2 barrel carbs. Might save you some time...

    The wonderful carter carb

Motorcraft isn't really any harder to install than a weber. You bolt the adapter down, bolt the carb on top of the adapter, get the right thottle cable and hook it up, crank it up, and tune it. The install on the weber will be the same as the install on the motorcraft except for not having to...
