    Suspension lift or body lift

I think it would be interesting to get a weight breakdown between the chassis and and interior components as compared to the drive line and frame. I suspect the majority of the weight is in the drive line and frame of the vehicle thereby making the focus of better CG keeping the frame lower...

    Next Tires

Make sense to me 78cj71ton. One more thing to consider that I just thought of is that the compound is going to tend to be harder on a big tire like that. Altogether that spells reduced traction ON Highway for 3 reasons. 1 uneven tread contact pressure for ON HIGHWAY service due to overly low...

    Suspension lift or body lift

Okay. Makes sense to me. The only drawback, the way that I see it, is that the overall vehicle's center of gravity will be higher with an all suspension lift as opposed to a mixed lift of the same height. This would make it less desirable for stability reasons ON Highway as well as at higher...

    Suspension lift or body lift

Curious here, JPNinPA. Why do you think a 3 inch body lift is dangerous (any more so than a 3 inch suspension lift)...? RR Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk

    Next Tires

I agree with 78CJ71TON. The caveat is that when you are not Towing that heavy load, those heavy-duty tires are going to ride real hard if left aired up to factory recommended pressure settings for that jeep. Running lower pressures in higher capacity tires when NOT towing will definitely help...

2001 4.0 automatic starting issues- electrical

OK, here are my observations on the no start issue. "Ive checked the battery when everything is fine and it sits at 12.5 when it's sat over night and 14.1 when running. When it won't start it still sits at 12.5. The terminals are clean, every time I take the cables of I hit them with a...

    95 wrangler yj no spark

Re: Intermitent to no spark 95 wrangler The reason I had you look at all of the high tension leads first is because the last part of your inquiry where you say sometimes it won't even crank - you have to cycle the key a few times... This is key. You need to solve that problem before you move...

    95 wrangler yj no spark

    1985 cj7 carb on a 1986 cj7 better?

Good advice Greg. Most carb idle screws are 1-1/2 turns from seated. Fine adjustments from there. If best idle (fully warmed up) cannot be obtained close to 1-1/2 turns, sort other problem(s) and try again. Don't make mistake of using idle mixture screws to compensate for other problems...;-(...
