I replaced my 95' with a 98 short block and had NO problems. Just transfer all your stuff over.

Go up to 2" and you'll be fine. I've never had a problem in over 9 yrs and i beat the crap out of my yj. If you add a swing out tire carrier and a winch up front you can't even see the frame gap.

no argument here. it is the worst transmission ever. I didn't know how to spell Peugeot BA 10/5. It will cost more to rebuilt (if you can even find someone to do it) then a reman ax-15. Just drive it til it blows then replace everything. SIDE NOTE: the T/C is a np 207 w/21spl and will not fit...

it's actually cheaper to buy clutch kit then to just buy the bearing. scince your in there replace the whole thing. but the bearing will start acting up within 10-15k. If you end up replacing the transmission make sure you get on with external slave cyl and a real throwout bearing and shift...

They all suck. the crappy bearing they use til about 91' all go out or at the least get noisy. If it works still leave it alone. At least til they transmission blows up. It will too. that is the worst year yj, i should know i bought one too..LOL.

Thanks that is what im looking for. Think i'll get the stock 98' box and try that and im hearing zj pump's w/ v8 is a good upgrade for that. Anyone got info on that one. Hopefully all this and the waggy drop pitman arm should help cure all these prob and help push the 35-37's around better.

Who's got solid info on the durango box swap? What is the difference with the snow plow option???? Also how bout a PS pump upgrade also? All the crysler pumps look the same but what about volume or pressure. Need to replace asap and dont really want to spend the $$$$ on AGR
