At the cost of a swap, you might as well modify your engine with the breathing goodies. You could even try stroking it using 4.2 parts. Tossing a 13000 mile 4.0 in favor of a 100000+ mile 350 would, well, be just flatout dumb. :???: It's your Jeep, though.

I like the Overland the best of those. It looks more like a no show all go type Jeep.

Sounds like you have an offroad beast. Bounty was right, the 465's 1st is very low. If it hops around the road while you turn, you may have a locker. I don't know if that's what you meant, though. If I were you, I would keep it the way it is and just wheel it. Any pictures... :D

Have you checked your sparkplugs after it's been up and running. I would almost bet they are black. Try setting the timing up to 9 degrees. I've read that those Webers like a regulated fuel system. With that said, you could be running rich at low speeds which would make your idle rough.

I'm pretty sure all the throttle shafts on mc2100's protrude out the other side. If you can, try taking off the valves and tapping the end with a lead or brass hammer after it is good and warm, not blazing hot. I have never tried heating up aluminum, but I think it would be fine.
