I think your stock rims should be fine. I've heard many people say that it's better to have the tire pucker like that to protect the rim. Plus, I just think it looks cooler. Of course, you probably won't want to pump up to 45 psi. My 31's on my stock rims are at 33ish psi.

Well, it's a blue 84 CJ7. I was driving it last year, but then I decided to work on it. It should be ready to roll (figuratively) in a week or so. Look for the blue CJ7. If it's loud, chirps around corners, has no front bumper and a goofy looking guy driving, it'll probably be me.

I doubt AMC changed the bolt pattern for that, so I bet the 65 head would fit. Check the compression ratio for a 77 232 compared to a 65 232. Maybe that will give you a clue? Definitely try the 2 barrel intake with a suiting carb.
