CJ7 lift with YJ springs and shackle reversal, anyone done it?

Shackle reversals make for more of a splashy ride rather than a smooth ride. If you do both of these, I'm sure you can adapt to a more squirrelly ride. If you want to go with 33's, a four inch spring under will clear them with ease. I would probably go with a 3 or 2 1/2 inch, get some nice, no...

Is it worth it to switch a CJ7 over to electric fan?

I would like to do it someday soon. It can only help. Go for it!

    Easter

I had to google image The Avatar to get that. Nice one. Happy Easter to you as well. Don't pass up the significance, though. It's more important than deviled eggs for me, and I LOVE deviled eggs. Here's some more math straight from my highly coveted mind: Eggs = Life The Sacrifice >...

    Firestone Destination A/T'S

It's up to you, but I would probably keep them on. Then, when they wear out, you can buy whatever you wish. That way, you wouldn't have to switch out your tires when you want to have some fun. Plus, you have a Rubicon. Using my highly coveted math knowledge, I concluded the following: Rubicon...

87 yj real bad fuel mileage

You might be able to rebuild your Carter. I would probably start off doing that. If you can't rebuild it for some reason, Motorcraft 2100's are a very popular and easy swap.

    Best Color Jeep

Dark green is my favorite color. I think that white would only look cool with a black soft top, black soft doors, and black rims.

Best dana 60 front axle for TJ?

From what I've gathered on 4wd and Sport Utility's newer article on fuel savings, if you are under your peak torque, yet it doesn't bog down, you'll get acceptable mileage. The LS1's peak torque is at 4400 rpm. Also, looking at a generic gear tire chart, you'd be in the "Good Fuel Economy"...

    Timing and mixture issues

My Jeep did the same thing, and I learned that retarding the ignition will not cure anything. In fact, mine dieseled when I tried to shut it off. It sounds like you have a vacuum leak. Are there any high pitched sounds like an old TV when it revs up? Make sure your vacuum lines are hooked up in...

Best dana 60 front axle for TJ?

Well, not that it would make it a better crawling transmission, but it would make it a regular transmission. The super low gear of an SM can be just a normal 1st gear with 37's and 4.10's. Then the 1:1 4th can act like an overdrive. That way, you get a bulletproof transmission and t-case...

    1963 4cyl, 3 speed

I think the only "cheap" way to get to 70 in that Jeep is buying a pair of 3.08 AMC Jeep CJ axles and swapping in a Buick 231 v6 with a T98 transmission. If you get wide track axles, that would give 4 extra inches of width. Still, like jps4jeep said, you'd want to go through your suspension. I...

    yj rear frame rust repair

 Wow, that makes my frame look like a beast. Yeah, I didn't think about that. It depends on how bad it is rusted. My frame was only bad about an inch from the ends, so I cut that out and bolted up that bumper.
