I feel like i'm beating a dead horse, forgive me. Should the replacement speed sensor I got from pep boys have come with a gear? It didn't come in any sort of gear. It was an oddly shaped device just had a little shaft sticking out of it, which I swapped in place of the original unit...

So, the odometer is electronic, and feeds off of the same speed sensor? For some reason I assumed the odometer was mechanical.

I have just purchased a 1992 Cherokee Laredo, and noticed a hose dangling under the car; it is attached to the transfer case, up top, drivers side, front. Haines seems to think its a vent tube. Anyway: where does the other end go? Thanks in advance! --Bill
