    Brake Warning Light reset

RE: Holiday Wish list Thanks Inspector...haven't had time to try it yet what with this work thing and it getting dark at 5:00. Do I have to bleed the front brakes too for this to take effect? Since only the rears were affected by the broken line I only bled the backs...needing to bleed the...

Re: RE: Are my starter I replaced my rear wheel cylinders along with the two rear steel brake lines (necesitated by a brake line leak). I bled both rear cylinders and everything "feels" like it is working okay. How do I get the brake warning light to go off? It came on due to the loss of...

    My horn Stopped working?

I just replaced mine. It had worked on and off for a while. Took it off and connected voltmeter to the wire and ran it to ground. Pushed the horn button and got 12 volts. It showed me it was the horn itself. It may be sacrilegious but I just picked a new one up at Autozone for $12 vs. $25...

    Help My 88 Wrangler Carb

I guess I have the Carter carb because I went to the "How to" section at this site and found a procedure for taking care of the problem. Disassembled it as described and now I am in business. Still not perfect (yet) but at least now I may have a chance to set the idle and time it. Anyhow...

    Who wrote Carter carb fix?

The Carter carb fix in the "how to" section looks like it is just what I need. I was wondering if I can find out who wrote that so I can ask them another question about the carb.

1988 six cylinder carbureted Wrangler, 5 speed. Starts but will not idle. Can drive but every time it tries to idle down it stalls. There is a hose off the carburetor that based on diagrams is supposed to go to the evaporative canister...however I cannot find the canister...book says it is...

    Exhaust to EGR connection

Thanks for the input. It will need to pass state emissions testing so I can't remove everything. Just need to figure out if there is still an airflow problem or if a different piece needs to be used.

    Exhaust to EGR connection

Yeah, after further review I think it is the pulse air system. What do I have to use to connect it back to the exhaust near the manifold? Apparently "rubber" high temp connectors are not the answer. It has a new catalytic converter and exhaust so flow shouldn't be a problem...I assume its...

    Exhaust to EGR connection

The connection is off the exhaust pipe very close to the exhaust manifold. The tube goes back and under the engine and then up on the passenger side of the engine into what I thought is the EGR. The tube also is connected further back (I think past the CAT) on the exhaust. It is roughly 1/2"...

    Exhaust to EGR connection

NO HEAT 1988 Wrangler with 6 cylinder engine. The exhaust system was replaced due to catalytic converter failure. There is a connection on the exhaust near the exhaust manifold for a tube to the EGR. Twice using a "flexible" connector at this location it has melted. How is this tube...
