    Tires HELP!

Yeah, $250 sounds about right for a set of 4 in the condition you mentioned. (By the way, I'm talking U.S. currency here, I think you said you're in Canada)

    WV Jeepin'!

I'm from Parkersburg, my wife is from Hurricane. I take my Jeep in usually twice a year to swap tops (i.e. once in the spring and once in the fall) and wouldn't mind wheelin' when I'm in town. Anybody know of any public spots to wheel near either of those two locations?

    Rock-It Intake

That's what I was thinking. Oh well, I just ordered the '05 tube and filter from 4WD. I'll let you know how it goes. I thought about just getting the tube for $114 from Quadratec and ordering a universal K&N filter from Summit or somewhere but it looks like the total would have been essentially...

    Tires HELP!

Yeah I think more than 400 would be way too much for the BFGs. Like I said I got a set of 4 BFG MTR KM1's for $300 off of ebay a couple years ago and they were 90-95%, so take that for what it's worth. I think what we're all sayin here is that you won't be disappointed with the Crushers if you...

Do I need to be concerned about this damage?

It was professionally aligned and all the control arms/track bars set after everything was installed so it should be OK, but I'll double check.

Do I need to be concerned about this damage?

Yeah, I'm definitely going to pull it off the Jeep and clearance it before I go wheelin' again.

    CB radios in Jeeps

I don't talk on mine often enough to say that I have a handle, but I have the Cobra with everything built into the mic in my TJ. Of course, the only time I've wheeled in a group since I got it I was the only one in my group that had a CB so I didn't get to use it. I do use it on the highway...

    Tires HELP!

As far as the Mickey Thompsons are concerned, the Crusher will perform a lot better in the mud and really loose stuff than the MTZs. The only downside of the Crushers that I've heard is that they're EXTREMELY loud, even for an MTR. If I were in your shoes, if your friend will cut you a really...

Do I need to be concerned about this damage?

Well, I ordered a set of the straps (not the u-bolts) just in case. I'm trying to decide whether I'd be better off just throwing them in the toolbox I take on the trail with me as spares "just in case" or if I should go ahead and change them (and I could hold on to the 'used' ones in case of an...

    Swaybar questions

Ok, first of all typically when you disconnect the swaybar for off-roading, you do not completely remove it, you just disconnect it from the axle. The easiest way to do this is to remove the swaybar end links (a bar with bushings on each end that bolt to the swaybar on one end and the axle on...

    Check Engine Code or..

I could be completely wrong, but I would guess that the 2.4 (and the "06-02" that I'm getting on mine) is some sort of revision number for the software in the ECU. It makes sense that if that is what you're seeing that it's not the same number as mine because yours would be a pretty early...

    Check Engine Code or..

Are you sure you're going all the way off and on and not just toggling between on and accessory? Just trying to come up with an explanation. I just went out to my '06 TJ and if I turn the key on, wait till the odometer comes on, then push the button above the ignition and turn the key all the...

    Check Engine Code or..

Maybe 2.4 was your trip reading on your odometer? You don't hold anything in, just turn the ignition on and off rapidly then it will flash on your odometer without you having to do anything. By the way, I'll bet $5 that it comes back as an O2 sensor fault :).

    Rock-It Intake

That aFe intake is nice but the Rock-It intake is cheaper (unless you can find a heck of a deal!) and it puts the filter up over the engine so it may not be as well protected but it's not like it's completely exposed...also it made great power numbers in JP Magazine's intake test several months...

How not to pull a Cherokee out of the mud

I don't understand where they thought they were going to be able to pull the Cherokee too after they switched the strap from the rear to the front?? :???:

    Tires HELP!

Honestly, for the needs that you have described it sounds like the BFG MTR's are the best performing tire that you've listed in my opinion. That said, some of the other options you mentioned will still perform quite well, and the BFG's are probably one of the most expensive options. The other...

    Rock-It Intake

Just out of curiousity, on Quadratec's website they list a Rock-It Max Flow intake for '97-02 TJ's (tube and filter) for $149 and the regular hi-flow intake for the same year range for $139. They list a different tube (just the tube) for '05s for $114 and the filter would be $50-60 on top of...

Do I need to be concerned about this damage?

Which one should I order: Pinion Yoke Strap and Bolt Kit by Dana Spicer and Other Jeep Parts and Jeep Accessories by 4 Wheel Drive Hardware-RH3 or U-Joint Strap Kit by Omix-Ada and Other Jeep Parts and Jeep Accessories by 4 Wheel Drive Hardware-RH3 ?

    Swaybar questions

Re: Jason4x4's 2006 TJ project The swaybar is there to help control the vehicle during cornering. It helps the body stay flat and controls roll during cornering. The reason for disconnecting it when offroading is that it allows the front axle to flex independent of the frame which significantly...
