If your thinking about getting a different Rear, i would go with a dana 44. They are very dependable and not to $$$ or hard to find.

Well the whole reason that I replaced the spider gears is because I went to Rausch Creek Off Road park in PA and ended up destroying my spider gears. I replaced Just about everything, Lets See...........well the spider gears, had the bearing pressed on the carrier, Inner Axle Seals, my buddy...

I just replaced my spider gears,Bearings, and Inner axle seals. I went out today to do a little wheeling in the snow and im hearing a clunk every now and then. It doesnt seem like its slipping but is the clunking normal for a stock axle?

I dont have a tag on the rear diff. I know that it isnt locked but im surprised that it is a dana 44 when the jeep isnt a Sahara. I know that you could order that axle with a tow package, but hey im not complaining haha

Yes, I did check the Trans Fluid. I actually just got back in from changing it. And it didnt fix it. The noise is a Humming noise but it does stop when I push in the clutch so i know its not the differentials. I also checked the Transfer case fluid and that was fine.
