RE: 4.0L swap: What am I in for?
Hi all, I have been a silent member for quite some time and I thought it was high time to get vocal. HI JEEPZ. I sold my old toy to my son (atta boy) and just bought a new Rubicon (no mods yet). I have big dreams and a wife that says go for it so I'll keep you...
The best thing I found were Tuffy Security Boxes. They mount on the wheel wells, console, and under the rear seat. Lots of storage and I was able to keep everything dry and secure.
2.5l grime all over
My set of Torx bits are 3/8 which happened to be the same as my el-cheapo impact driver ( the kind that you use a hammer on) but worked very well. You can pick one up at any parts store for a 10 spot :D

I know this doesn't help if you dont have a garage but if you have any place to hang 4 tie-down straps i.e. carport, tree, etc. I take my top off and just drive out from under it. This way taking it off and putting on is a 1 person job.[addsig]

4" will make a big difference in handling so take it easy until you get a feel for the way it handles. You have to follow up with a nice set of tires to fill in the new void you have created so figure on a few more bucks for that. [addsig]

Which goes to showya it's not what you drive but how you use it. Anybody can own a great ride (Jeep,Hummer,Landrover,etc..) But if the thing never sees anything but I-5 or whatever your local interstate is, WHAT A WASTE. [addsig]

Bob Rivers is a KZOK personality that I have the pleasure of listening to every morning on my way to work. You should all be so lucky. Just another reason why wheeling in the PNW is best!!!! [addsig]

OK, I think I pushed the wrong button the 1st time. I'll try this again. Ive been reading this website now for several months and I must say it's the first thing I look at now when I log on. I have been waiting to see a Washington 4wheeler and so far I think I'm the only one. Tell me...
Just curious if you have a winch on the front end of your rig what is it, are you happy with it and would you buy it again. I had a Ramsey Pro Plus 9000 on my last Jeep and I'm getting ready to purchase another winch for my latest toy. [addsig]
