Yep, just carrying on a whole thread on my own :D I had autozone (i know, i know) check codes and it showed up as "ECM detected the battery temperature sensor signal too high" Could that be right...the battery temp sensor is bad? The previous owner was the one who told me it was an ambient...

Try looking in salvage yards using car-part.com, maybe you can get one close to you :) Looks like it's about the same price for the 4.2l and the 2.5l, anywhere from 350-1000 bucks depending on which place you ask and if you need just the core parts.
