    I need help picking suspension...

1042627 I hav ethe Rusty's 3" lift with AAL's (add a leafs). Easy to install and works great. I would recommend that you get the 3" leaf packs though, I here my AAL's will eventually sag. Mine have been in for months now, and the rear is still right at 3.5". There are better lifts, but I...

CHEAP LIFTS FOR A '97-XJ SPORT???

1042628 I would not recommend a cheap 4" lift. At 4" the drive line angles get a little hairy, you'd need a kit that can handle these angles and not turn your jeep into a massaging chair. What size tires are you wanting to run?[addsig]

    ARIZONA WHEELIN'

1042653 where abouts in Arizona? I spent some time in Tucson, great town. Loved the hunting, lots of open land to hunt for free on. Shorts in the winter during the day, while looking up at the snow on Mt Lemon. Loved it.[addsig]

CHEAP LIFTS FOR A '97-XJ SPORT???

1042682 I buddy of mine had a RE 4.5" lift with 32's and he still trimmed the fenders and put bushwackers on. He loved that setup. He just recently went to 35" tires and just ordered a long arm kit and 6" coils. If I only had the money![addsig]

    I need help picking suspension...

1042757 The 3" lift doesn't require the LCA's because it doesn't change angle of stock LCA enough to justify buying a set of extended or dog-legged LCA,s. I did check my trac bar, it was off by a little more than 1/8 an inch. The front springs don't appear to have changed the length of my...

    Problem with starting (PLEASE HELP!!!)

1043032 Could also be the TDC sensor. Here is some tech stuff on it: http://www.off-road.com/jeep/cherokee/xjtech/engine/40ltr/tdcsensor.html I've heard that you can dissconnect it and reconnect it and that should be a VERY temperary fix. It should help you narrow it down.[addsig]

    price quote on repairs.??

1043037 I don't know how mechanically inclined you are, but here a run down about the job you're talking about. It really is a easy, but time consuming job. My jeep isn't my daily driver, so I have no excuse not to do it myself. Besides, scars are cool...

1043038 Have you considered something like this: http://www.off-road.com/jeep/cherokee/xjproducts/company/linex/linex.htm When my paint starts to fade, I'm going that route. I got a rough estemate of around $800-900 to do my XJ. [addsig]

    '03 Jeep Rubicon

1043208 I don't think the price is that bad. New stuff is never cheap. Were talking about two D44's with electronic lockers and a transcase with 4to1 ratio. I've read two articles now about the performance of this jeep in moab and the rubicon, and the only problem was clearence, and that was...

    waterpump diagnosis/overheating problem cont'd...

1043244 Man, not to be a downer, but you should have considered a open cooling system convertion. Real easy to do, the hardest part is on the pocketbook. Have you considered a stroker motor? There are quite a few article out there about the 4.6 and 4.7 stokers. They seem like they would...

1043245 The XJ (Cherokee) body is a unibody. There are no spacers. The only thing you have are bushings on the front and back of the leafsprings, and the bushing on the front upper and lower control arms. There is also a small spacer on the spring perch up front. The other body styles TJ...
