and while I am at it LOL... Clock - I know there is the white w/ red trace wire in the Painless kit for it, which post would it connect to and then what goes to the other post on the clock?

Dug this up from the past..... After reading this I am still confused as to how to get my factory tach wired up. '76 CJ7 and PO installed a Painless "universal CJ 75-86" kit. I have the light working, no big deal there. I see the purple wire labeled Tach under the dash. Which red wire...
