I am with Steelheadz on the in frame i had hooker fender headers with a 3 inch lift and 33" tires on my 74 and was always tire grabbing when turning left not a good sound or good for equipment and wheel I am sure there is a good set up for them but i actual just went back with the stock exhaust...

1974 with a 304 four barrel. 33" tires 4:56 gears about 8 to 10 miles to the gallon 10 if it is mostly down hill... lol

I have a 304 that starts idles great and has good oil pressure. About 15 miles down the road it loses oil pressure and power?

Have you been able to correct the issue you were having? you say the heat sink was heating up and stated that you used 14 awg possible easy fix would be going to 10 awg just a thought.
