Was thinking about adding a kit to my 05 Unlimited. Anyone else do this before?

Sounds to me like a bad connection as you were having problems before you started the project but now all bulbs are working. Take an eraser and clean all the contacts on the bulbs, and a small piece of emery cloth to clean the connector contacts and give it another try.

Pull the end caps from the piston rods and see how the Crankshaft looks. Or is this what you mean by 2 connecting rods look bad? Did the bearings stay on the end cap of the rod or did it stay stuck to the crankshaft? Pull the intake and see it the camshaft is burnt as well. Turning it over...

Has anyone upgraded their headlights to the new Xenon bulbs? I am thining of doing this soon. Was it worth the cost?

Mine came on yesterday at less than 70K miles. Checked the codes and it pointed too the aft O2 sensor, said it was too lean. I reset the code and am waiting to see if it returns before I go troubleshooting it. There is a way to reset most computers but I do not know the process. Good luck.

Sounds like a rebuild. Too bad you ran it till it stopped, more damage. You could also consider a long block exchange. More $ but less down time. Best of luck!

New here, new to Jeeps. Just got a very clean stock 2005 Wrangler Unlimited. Not looking to add huge tires to it but I do want to lift it a bit. Not much of an off roader except on the quad an 2 wheeler.
