Can anyone tell me where on a 2.4 liter 2006 Jeep Wrangler the crankshaft position sensor is located? The dealer told me mine was bad but did not have one in stock. I figure I can replace it myself and see if my problem goes away. Thanks,

Elevatorman: Doesn't your 1995 have a 2.5 liter engine and not the newer 2.4? I've had 2 Wranglers with 2.5's and I would agree that they can take about anything. I'm not familiar with the 2.4 liter limitations, if any. Thanks for your reply

I have a 2006 Wrangler with a 2.4 liter engine and a 4 inch lift. With my 33 inch tires I sometimes have to use 4th gear in windy conditions on the highway. Will prolonged driving at 3500 RPM damage my engine?
