    lift/stretch?

x2. That is going to be REALLY high. I have a friend who has a TJ that is lifted 6.5" on 37's with no body lift, and that thing is scary when it is off camber. I personally wouldn't go anywhere near that high, but if you really want to, you will definitely want full widths and a longer...

Replacing upper door skins, is it really this tough?

The top is on. What a difference, this thing is so quiet inside now. There are still some places that the top needs to be pulled tighter, but it was 40 when I did it, so when I get some warmer weather I can pull it tight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Paint prep help

I was curious, are you actually going to be painting with a gun, or cans? I am thinking about using spray cans to paint mine satin black, and wonder how the prep differs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    1998 tj wont start.

This may be a dumb question, but did you look at the cam position sensor, or the crank position sensor? The crank sensor is on the back of the motor above the bellhousing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    1998 tj wont start.

x2. I had the same issue on two of my Cherokees. If the crank sensor has failed, the fuel pump will not run. This is a fairly common problem on 4.0's -- I keep 2 spares -- one in the garage, and one in the TJ's toolbox.

Replacing upper door skins, is it really this tough?

Well I got them on. First i had to round off the front corner of the frame with the grinder, then I had to heat them to the point they were hot to the touch, and both my brother and I had to stretch them on. Now I am installing the top today... I think the hair dryer is going to get a work...

Replacing upper door skins, is it really this tough?

I think I will try a hair drier tonight... I thought doing it in the house would be warm enough but apparently not. I think I am also going to grind down the front corner of the frame -- when I look at all the replacement frames online, they are rounded off, and mine are more pointy.

Replacing upper door skins, is it really this tough?

Is replacing the upper door skins this hard!? I am putting the back lower side of the frame in first, and I get it tight in there. I leave the bottom off, and stretch it tight to the front lower corner. Even standing on the frame, and using all the strength I have, I am about 3/4" short...
