Hello, I have not been able to get power out of my engine swap: 2.5 for 2.8CRD. The two diesel pumps seem to be the same for the two engines. Could the pressure build ups be different or both can build to the similar pressures. Richard

I think i know what you mean by boost. Am using the turbo that came with the 2.8 engine. It gives a very strong boost. Would a slight obstruction of the exhaust outlet affect performance? I say this because we had to do a small modification on the exhaust. The exhaust outlet is a bit narrow.

You are right. I swapped the Injectors and pump to keep the old PCM. I noticed two sensors on the camshaft position which i assumed to be camshaft sensors. One is located in front and the other behind, just below the cylinder head. After the swap, I left the back sensor hanging since it did not...

I recently swapped my 2.5 CRD with a 2.8. The swap went with Injectors, Injector pump and pressure sensor from the 2.5. Unfortunatly i cant get enough power out of the 2.8. It wont go above 110 km/h! The turbo seems to be working fine and the fuel pressures are ok. Can someone please help. Richard

Hello, Does anyone know how to remove air bubbles from the power steering inna 2.5 CRD (Liberty). The steering has been rigid from the time i changed the steering pump. Richard

After swapping my 2.5 manual with a 2.8 automatic, the engine is turning but cannot start. The Injectors are not opening to release fuel. I used the 2.5 harness, control box and injector pump and also maintained the manual gear box. I feel if the Injectors could open, it should be able to run...

Hi, Am new to this forum. I run a 02 liberty, 2.5 turbo Diesel. It has been dripping oil from the engine breather pipe, the one that connects to the turbo. recently it has been smoking a lot. Do i need to replace the Engine for a while now. If so, woud a 2.8 CRD by a perfect match?
