Bringing back an old thread. Got it figured out. My exhaust heat shield was rubbing on the rear drive shaft. Jeep drives like a dream now.

I have that exact deck. Except I have a 39 buck box with two small subs and tweeters. Bolted that in with "L" brackets and ran some wire for speakers. My stock speakers were trash so this all inclusive package was perfect. Here's a pic of my setup.

It's a 6 cyl. Not sure what gears are in it but if I wanted to put new gears in it what should I go with for 32 or 33 in tires??

I know im a noob. What type of rear end do I have? Unsure what work if any the previous owners did. It's on my 88 yj. However I can't tell if it's a D35 or D44....

I was lookin at getting 1 1/4 in lift shackles for my 88 yj. Should I use shackles with greasable or not? Pros and cons? Any differences? Other than grease..

Thanks to all on tube fenders. I will either go with no flares which is the way it is now or I will try to find some cheap tj fenders and trim.

Good info thanks another thread on here mentioned a budget lift with shackles and body lift for a full two inches. I am thinking of getting this lift and just goin with 32 in tires. And it costs like 145 bucks.

So I understand takin off the rear track bar. What about the front track bar? I have heard some people take that one off too..... Pros and cons please.

On another note I am also planning on smittybilt tube fenders and rock rails. Any thoughts? With my stock axels right now I want to be able to run 31-33 in tires. Not exactly tryin to upgrade my axles until I need to.

Cool thanks I was thinking of a rough country 4 in and 33 tires. What would you recommend for lifting it to clear either 32 or 33's??
