I ended up making a few trips to the dealer for this and by the time of the last trip, the freedom panel latch could barely reach the metal loop - it was basically pushing up against it instead of latching. Dealer ended up ordering me a new panel which has solved the problem.
Keep it! You'll learn a lot - between making jeep friends, online forums, and youtube. In reality, there will probably be something you have to take it in for, but if you find a trustworthy mechanic it might not be so terrible.
Welcome to jeepz :)!
The weather was beautiful and I took off my freedom panels and paid attention to most of the latches, so I could put them back on after the weekend was over. In putting them back on, the window latch on the drivers side barely touches the metal loop on the back of the windshield. It seems that...
For now just enjoying it stock because it's a lot different than driving a honda sedan. Also no mods planned just yet since I want to recover a bit financially (thought I was going to buy in Oct/Nov), though I have been looking at soft tops and secured storage solutions hence the other thread.
Terry - I ended up with a hardtop because that was pretty much the only ones on the lot. I figured the same about once the hard top is on - it's on, but I thought it would be easier to switch to an after market soft top than the other way around. Though I must admit I have already started...
Thanks Terry! I think I'm going to get something similar to the enclosures you posted (if not one of those). For various reasons, I will most likely will end up getting a hard top now and buying a soft top later :(.
I was also thinking about the rain - I park in a garage at home and work so...
Hey all! Mingez - you're back - yay! Sorry to read that so many had to give up their jeeps :(.
After all these years, I'm hoping to get a jeep so I've resurfaced while I decide what I want (not that I posted all that much when I had a jeep) and will probably post a lot of questions when I get...
Thanks for the responses :). I will check out Tuffy. Ideally, I wouldn't want to leave things of value, but when running errands it's almost inevitable that I end up stopping at multiple places.
Hi all! I'm looking to buy a JK in the next few months :D. I haven't decided between 2dr vs 4dr but something that will be important will be some way to secure my stuff, since I'm leaning towards a soft top. Reality dictates that I have to leave my jeep to go to work, and I also like to shop...
Thanks! Yeah if I had to pick from that list, Anvil would be at the top because it is the closest one to blue. So I wrote to Jeep because I was curious to see what the response would be... here is a snippet of what I got:
"We are happy to advise that according to our resources, the Hydro Blue...
Looking at some 2014 wranglers (Sport, SportS, Rubicon) online and noticed there are very limited colors! What happened to blue (or even green)?! Did I miss something? The only blue ones I could find were the special editions like the Willys or the Freedom with extra (kind of) ugly markings. I'm...
Planning a vacation in Hawaii (the Big Island) and was thinking about renting a Jeep. Anyone have any advice or experience?
Any other fun things I should check out while there? 8)
