    1999 Grand front drive shaft

Our local NAPA doesn't carry driveshafts and the local Advanced Auto only shows a 21". I have not checked with the dealership because I am retarded, I don't know why I did not think of that. It is not full time FWD. It has a 242wj transfer case. You can select 2wd or 4wd. Thanks, Tom

    1999 Grand front drive shaft

I don't have one to lengthen, It did not have one in it when I bought it. I want to be able to just buy the factory one for it but the one they sell for my jeep is too short. What about switching to the old style drive shaft with the U-joints on both ends? Can this be done?

    1999 Grand front drive shaft

Sorry to keep bothering you, but, my drive shaft has CV joints and 6 bolts on both ends. I would like to know a length, they are measured from weld to weld. The one I bought (the only one they offered) was 21". I don't even know what to ask for, what are the lengths offered with CV joints on...

    1999 Grand front drive shaft

I bought my 1999 grand Laredo with the I6 and 242WJ transfer case. It did not have a front drive shaft. The only drive shaft offered at the parts house is a 21" from weld to weld. It was too short and after a couple of days, it pulled one of the cv joints apart. I believe it is 1-2" too short...

    Cooling issue.

Hate to see you have not gotten any replies to your question yet, so I will throw my hat in the ring................Are there "burp" valves on the motor? There could be more than one and they will be high up on the motor. they are little brass valves that you crack open to let air out as you...

    Temp gauge not reading correctly

Greg, It is the sensor on top of the head, in the back of the motor, right against the valve cover. I checked it yesterday with my voltage tester and it ohm'ed out at zero. It is showing a straight ground through the sending unit which should mean the sensor is bad. I took it out to exchange it...

    Temp gauge not reading correctly

Thanks for the quick reply. The plug for the cts only has one wire so I figured it was the grounding type. I will try the ohm test and see what it says. I don't know why I did not think of that. Due to money issues and everybody else's vehicle needing fixed, this thing has been down for 6...

    Temp gauge not reading correctly

Hello all, I need to pick your brains. I have a 1992 jeep Cherokee sport 4.0. I did a head gasket job on it and the temp gauge worked for about two days. It quit reading all together so I bought a brand new gauge temp sensor and it reads wide open all the time. I can unplug it and the gauge...
