Same thing happened on my 97 xj, it was the CPS. The gauges were exactly as you said. The fuel pump did come on however. Also, the engine turned over but wouldn't fire.

any chance there's a clog in the exhaust, specifically the cat?

my roomate has the rusty's 3" aal kit and he did exactly what you are talking about. no complaints from him. run those shocks.

the transmission mount is a easy fix. you can peek from the sides to get a feel for how bad it is, and if it needs replacing. to replace it, support the tcase, take off the crossmember (4 bolts to the frame, 4 bolts to the mount), and then you can remove the mount!

Tread Lightly Master Trainer available dremel idea worked amazing. took like 30 minutes and didnt even burn through the dremel bit. now i'm riding on 4 shocks!
