It's probably the clutch bleeder valve. It has a doohickey, i believe that's the technical term, on the end that kind of looks like a zerk fitting or a brake bleed screw. Is that what a clutch bleeder valve looks like? I just never seen this before and was wondering what it is. I can sleep well...

It's a 1990 YJ 4 cyl manual. The rod is not connected to anything, it is just sticking out from the transmission.

The best thing to do is as LGR suggested and use a SWR meter. However, if you just want to see if it works, turn to channel 19. Most truck drivers in most areas use 19 as their "Home" channel and should get a generous amount of traffic if you are anywhere near a highway system.

Does anyone know what size/type bolt holds the starter on a YJ? I got one of the bolts out with a 12 point socket (3/8" if I remember correctly) but the socket just slips off the other bolt. I think what I need is called a reverse torx socket. Is this correct and what size do I need?
