I've had pretty good success with the dupli-color stuff. I rattled my Grill and fender extensions and they are holding up real well. I couldn't find the rattle stuff but got a quart of roll on Dupli-color when I did my doors. It holds well on the sheet metal but I did not rough up the door...

Does the fan come on at all? My fan would only come on when the knob was set to high. If this is the case, it's you blower resistor. Might want to check it anyway.
