rear end noise

So I have a 97 TJ and I can grab the rear tire at the top and pull and push it back and forth about a half a inch and it is also making noise. A rattle type noise. I have no experience with axles at all except changing front wheel bearings and pinon seals. So I am not quite sure what the issue...

Hello Jeepers!! Well I have a 2001 Wrangler with a dana 44 which had a leaking pinion seal. I replaced the seal, took the rear diff cover off to change the fluid and put it all back together. I put 75-90 mobil one gear oil back in the diff and sealed up the cover. I changed the pinion seal...
