so i was lookin into a body lift..is that somthing that can be done easy? I think I managed to find all the bushings...can I change one at a time? or anyone installed one know the easiest way to take care of this? because its not somthing I want to order and then have to pay somebody to install it. could I use my hi-lift and just lift the section near the body?[addsig]

Hey LGR, I plan on doing the exact same thing, check out the "how to section" on the home page and go from there, there are all sorts of great links to get the step by step.
I'm sure sombody here will tell you how to do it, I seem to find an awnser for everything here.[addsig]

hey J10 you're the dumba$$ for wanting a 6in. body lift. :-D LGR I just put the Daystar 1 inch taller body mounts on my TJ, they replace the old rubber body mounts for 1in. taller polyurathane body mounts. I thought that would be better than just adding some plastic pucks. It was real simple just locate a 11 body mounts, loosen them upbut don't remove them. I lifted one side of the jeep at a time just high enough to fit the new mounts, then did the same to the other side. Took me maybe 2 hours. You will also need to refit your fan shroud. hope this helps AJ  [addsig]

Did you just trim the bottom part of your fan shroud?[addsig]

stinkin' J10 1" body is for a little extra clearence also I got an old kilby gas tank skid that won't fit on my new TJ unless I lift the body an inch. I looked at the "how to" section on the site and they really didn't tell me where all the bushings are..so yeah know..I found 3 on the sides, and two in the rear..the fronts i didn't find yet anyone have any clue?[addsig]

43,

I installed the Daystar 1" on my rig too and was very impressed with the ride quality and how well the bushings were made.

We're running 31" tires and there's plenty of clearance from the lift.

Regarding body lifts, the only reason to do one would be for tire clearance. If you're looking for ground clearance, you'll need to go for the more costly suspension lift.

going body lift so my kilby gas tank skid doesn't go to waste...can't put it in the 03" TJ unless you have a 1" body lift...my old 98" TJ rest in peace didn't need that[addsig]

JSchmed you will need to drill new holes an inch lower on the fan shroud, also cut away more for the lower radiator hose I did.

LGR, when you get the body lift kit there should be a diagram in the instructions showing you all the locations. It's no problem  [addsig]
