1999 wrangler transmission trouble.

My transmission is starting to act up. When idling it seems to want to stall. When I accelerate it hesitates and then jumps into gear. If I put the transmission into first gear and then move to drive no problem. The transmission seemed to get a little better when I added a transmission additive. But still not great. When pulling out from a light the car will move but it feels light it is not getting full power. Any suggestions.

I'm no expert on automatic transmissions, but it sounds like it could be a bad torque converter if you've already checked that you have plenty of fluid.
