2000 hard top question

I have an 05 wrangler and a friend is going to sell me his 00 hardtop. Will it fit? Also there is a crack in it how can I fix this? How much should I be willing to pay for it approx. Thanks for any help. sorry I am very new to jeeps but love them

It should fit. You will need to repair the crack with a fiberglass resin and sand it down smooth before the primer and paint.

$500 sounds fair depending on where the crack is and how bad it is.Most used hard tops in good shape go for around $800-$1000.
