The gas gage in my 2000 TJ quit working. A shop ordered a replacement one, however, there have been upgrades over the years and the new one won't fit the original pump assembly. I was told I need to order a fuel pump module as well as the fuel sensor to the tune of $789.50 plus tax for parts and labor. OUCH! Does anyone know where I can get just the sensor? I only have 23000 miles on my TJ so I really don't want to replace a bunch of parts that don't need replacing. Thank you

Looks like a new fuel pump with with sensor is only $60:

I bet a big portion of that bill is labor - you have to drop the fuel tank to replace the sender, and that can be a pain.
