2004 JGCL won't turn over

I have a 2004 jeep grand Cherokee Laredo I'm not able to get it to start or even turn over. I had a cracked connector and replaced it but then the obe I replaced it with cracked now I'm on my 3rd pair of connectors in 2 days and it still won't turn over. At first it seemed like it was the connectors because when I changed them my truck started but now it won't. It's getting power from the battery because my radio and all my gauges work. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

Hello and welcome to jeepz.com . So , the solenoid harness disconnect is burning out ? Are you able to get a starter amperage draw test performed ? Your starter may be worn and pulling excessive cranking amps and causing the harness to blow due to excessive heat. That is the only cause I'm aware of that contributes to this condition. It's usually not an armature problem but either a worn bendix drive or excessive resistance in the cable . Check the cable from the battery to starter for excessive resistance when doing the amperage draw test and check voltage reading with starter at rest with ignition on not cranking. Hope this helps and please post your findings when able . Regret late reply . Thank you for your membership at jeepz.com .

Do you mean the battery connector or a different one?
What if any noise do you hear when you turn the key?

My typical initial response is to clean both battery terminals and connectors. Inspect the wires for corrosion.
Then clean the opposite sides of the power (alt and starter) and ground straps that go to the engine and body...clean by lightly sanding to a shine.

Then load test the battery and starter. You could run a radio from a dying battery but not have enough Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) to start the engine.
