2005 Jeep Liberty

I have a 2005 Jeep liberty and wanted to replace the stock CD player with and after market and 2 amps and subs. Now I was told that I had to bypass the stock amps , and also told that my Jeep doesn't have stock amps, if this is so how do I go about finding out whether I have stock amps or not? And if I do how do I bypass them.

Do you have the Infinity system? If so you've probably got amplifiers integrated into the speakers. From what I understand replacement speakers for this system run around $200 each and are difficult to obtain. The amps are attached to your stock speakers.

I think you'd be fine replacing the head unit and the speakers at the same time.
