272 transfercase.

I just had a guy offer me a 272 transfer case for a good deal at least i think its a good deal. but i was wondering if a 272 will bolt up to my jeep. I know that i will prob need a new of different adapter plate but will it interfear with my shifter linkage? it has a no slip yoke and i dont know much about the 272. Good ? Bad ? Ugly ? Thanks yall.

Never heard of a 272, sure it's not a 242? Check the round tag on the rear cover.

No, it isn't. A rubicon has the 241OR. The 242 is generally found in Cherokee's and Grand Cherokee's. Crawl under your Rubi and check the tag.

241 is the Rubicon case, 242 is a part time/full time case out of Cherokees and Grands.
