RE: CJ lock cylinder

Somebody refresh my memory on the CJ four bangers. There were two correct. The 150 and 151 c.i.d. Didn't one have a Chevy bolt pattern? The 150 c.i.d. maybe? Up to what year would they have used the one with the Chevy pattern?

RE: YJ paint job cost?

1980-1983 was the 150 GM motor

1984 and later was the 151

Yep. The "Iron Duke".

That bellhousing will allow a Chevy V8 to be swapped in, but your choices on the transmission end are limited to the SR-4, T4, and T5. I think the SR-4 came behind all of the manual shifted GM four cylinders. There is something else about the clutch too, I think you are limited on disc diameter or something.....I'm not really sure.

RE: broken tap

Doesn't matter now. I lost the E-bay auction on the 81 Scrambler. I thought I was going to steal it under the radar for about $3200. It had lockers, one piece axles and the bad boy 4 cyl. Too bad.
