55watt driving lights

can i replace my 35 watt drivinglights on my 06 tj and use the factory switch on my turn signel with out frying it i have been told its ok but then i have been told not to do it can someone help me with the right answer.

You should be fine with the 55watt lamp. The circuit is already on a relay that will protect the multifunction switch from burning out. I have noticed however that the plastic cover on the back of the fog lamp has signs of heat warp from the heat generated from the 55 watt bulb, so just be aware of that.

Are you replacing the whole housing or just the bulb?

yes you can replace the bulbs without changing switch as long as its has a fusable relay
