79 cj 7 no brakes

i have a 79 cj 7 and i cannot get any pressure to front brakes i have pressure at rear and my calipers are workin just not enough to stop the rig new rebuilt master cylinder i am goin nuts just trying to find parts for this thing can any one help ppppplease thanks

I don't know how to help you besides suggest the obvious... ie- bleed the system. What I can tell you is that you should have no problem finding parts. I am working on a rebuild of my 79 cj7 and have replaced everything except the booster. Reman calipers can be had at autozone.com for $14 each, a reman master cylinder for slightly more. There are plenty of jeep sites out there too. Between them and ebay, you should be able to build a jeep from scratch.

FYI. Law in Florida says you can take the doors off.

Checked for pinch or restriction in front brake lines..just a thought

I had a similar problem on a 1980 CJ-7 some time ago. In my case it was the brake proportioning valve (located on the inside of the drivers side frame rail right below the master cylinder usually). All the lines coming from the master cylinder go to this before they are seperated to go to the front on rear.

i have the same problem with my 82 cj went to replace the brake pads and shoes and found that my front rotors are glazed over so they dont work for crud gonna pull em off and have em turned and since im gonna have it apart gonna put on new pads any way and regrease the front end
