98 TJ code p0301, misfire on cylinder 1

I have a 98 TJ w/ 4.0 & auto trans, that my daughter drives. She tells me that it is skipping so I check codes. got a p0301, misfire cyl 1. I changed the plugs, still missing. Swaped wires and cap, still same code. could it be the injector? Any help appreciated..

I am Having the same problem. does yoursi lope in 1st gear.

It seems to drive fine, just misses at idle. checked the injector. its ok. gonna do a compression test and see what that looks like. maybe a dirty valve.

Swap injectors to see if it jumps to a different cylinder. Also the spark plug, but do one at a time. If that doesn't work you can sea foam it to try to remove carbon build up on the valves.
