AC from defrost vents

Now my 2005 Wrangler blows air only from the defrost vents. The air is cold, but not at the right places. Ideas?

do those models have blend doors, like the grand cherokee? also, look for a hose disconnected going to the firewall somewhere. i believe rhe ac is controlled by vacuum

My 2005 has the same problem - I believe that the door that controls where the air comes out is powered by vacuum. Essentially you have a vacuum leak somewhere Check out this link:

2x vac leak start at the intake and work towards the interior. There is a vac resivoir under the battery.

Vac leak was the problem. The rubber tube that goes into the manifold was rotted away. I used a tie to clamp it down until a new one arrives.

near #2 in the diagram? That one is often found disconnected. Check the rest of the lines for cracks.
