Add-on overdrive unit,is it worth the trouble?

I am building an 82 J20,360,AT,and I was wondering if the aftermarket overdrive units were worth foolin' with?

Don't know much bout them except the Warn OD on my CJ3B. It is awesome.


Also, I put a GearVender over/under on a GMC 2wd truck I had that was used for towing, and that was the best thing I ever did to it, bar none, more than the super charger,cam, Thorley triY's, all of it.

I say it is if your geared low and occasionally drive it on the highway.
