Angled Shims?

I have a 95 Cherokee Country with a 3" lift in the front(stiffer coils) and 2 1/2" in the back(longer shackles). I would like the back up an additional 2" but when I put lift blocks in it, it vibrated to much for my liking. What degree of shims would I need to stop the vibrating if I put the lift blocks back in? I do not want to use add-a-leafs. Can I lower my tranfer case 1" with no problems such as linkage binding or shifter interference with the console? Thanks

This guy has the equation to use to figure out what degree shim you'll need:

I don't think droping the case about an inch will mess with things too much. I plan on doing that myself to compensate for the AAL I put in the rear leaf packs. Everyone I have talked to that has done it didn't have anything negative to say about it.[addsig]

Double check the blocks to see if they have a built in wedge, most do. Lowering the transfer should help straighten out the driveshaft some. Check the rear bushing in the transfer for slap or side play, it might be a little loose which is aggrivated with the increased angles. Also slightly worn U-joints will act up with increased angles. I´ve heard it recommended the angles between front U-joint and the rear should be as equal as possible, I´ve been racking my brain for the allowable U-joint angles, and can´t seem to bring them to mind. A max of 7 degrees from stock pops to mind, but I could be wrong. By putting in the longer shackles you´ve already rotated the differential some. [addsig]
