Axle locknut sockets

I'm having trouble finding the right size locknut socket so I can take the front brake rotors and shields off the front axle. There are two locknuts and I can't find the right size socket. I need something smaller than a 2 3/8". I think it is a 2 1/4" or 2 1/8". Any suggestions on where to find one that size?

Most auto parts stores have a 'Help' section of common replacement parts and tools, there you will find '4wd' sockets made specially for the common hub nuts.

I assume your talking about the front a cj D30. I have also in the past used a brass drift to get them off on the trail in a pinch.

I had to buy a star socket once, If you look at any set they are missing the #9 socket. I had to special order becous its not a common size.. I was told that ford did this so back-yarders could not change there own breaks so you would have to go to the dealership. dont know if thats true but i wouldnt put it past them...I got it threw napa.
