hi all I need help.I am going to drain oil from axle`s on my cherokee sport 2.4 2002. The hand book tell,s you that they take 1.3 liters or 2.85 us pints but you also have to add mopar friction control additive but it does not tell how much you should put in or what the ratio is ? the UK dealerships are not very helpful can anyone help. I have also had trouble with serpentine belt slipping I have changed the idle wheel and the auto tensioner and put new belt on it. it is made worse when reversing and turning the steering wheel the tensioner starts jumping were the belt is jumping over the streeing pump has anybody got any ideas ?.
regards to all tricky. not very tricky at the moment :bomb:

4.0 ounces is whats recomended.as for the jumping Serpentine belt, if the only time it does it is with a steering input, Then it would be logical to think it has to do with the Powersteering pressure in the lines. another possiblity would be a Spoolvalve in the gear box is somehow partially restricted.. As a rule, if theres too much restriction in the pressure side of the pump, it would either be a colapsed pressure line or a bad steering gear. A Dealer or someone who has a Powersteering Pressure Analyzer should be able to isolate that problem.
