Me and a friend of mine were talking teh other day about our jeeps. He has a TJ and i have a YJ. He was talking about how he thinks jeep should go back to more of the simple type set-up, like the interior of the YJ and CJ, a little more rugged and simple. Im not saying the TJ are bad or anything, hell i would love one, but do agree that the interior of the newer jeeps should go back to the very simple and basic set-up? i just want to see what other people's opinons are. thanks[addsig]

I drove my first TJ (PASmokeaters) and it is sweet. Once you kick onthe AC with the plus dash in the woods and relize it is still very much a jeep you forget all about the old cold steel dash of a CJ. Now don't get me wrong I straddle the fence on this on as I drive a YJ and will for years to come cause I have more money in my YJ than I will ever recover.

However the next Auto bought around this house is going to be a TJ and I plan to keep it pretty much stock for my wife. It will be our family car.

As for ever going back will not happen! to much in the way of safty and public image has been put into the TJ. Look for a more plush ride if any thing. So if you are a hard core CJ or even YJ person find and oldie and fixer up to suite yourself.

since Ive never been in a TJ i cant realy say much about it, but I agree, older and tuffer is better, id love for my YJ to have a CJ dashboard, those things are borderline classic jaguar sports car cool... , but I still like my YJ better on the outside...[addsig]

You rough and old CJ and YJ owners have it so good. Us TJ owners have it rougher.
While your out splashing through the mud and the muck we TJ'ers have to slow down and take it easy here...dont want to splash mud into the nice and carpeted insides. AND! we have to be careful not to splash our exspensive bottled water all over.(in our custom cup holders) Dont want to leave water stains on the fancy dash here.
While your out playing you can have the top down and enjoy that rough and ready look while we have to keep out tops on to keep that mud from getting on our izarad polo shirts. (Image you know)
Laughing yet? because I know I am writting this drivel.
CJ or TJ it doesnt matter because it says Jeep on the side....analog or digital its all Jeep under neith.

That's the beauty of older jeeps the more simple
and basic ways....That's why it is fun to restore
and have 2 or 3 jeeps one to play and one that is
nice ....But I agree I like it simple....but that's just me.... :-D [addsig]
