CJ mechanic in Raleigh

Can anyone recommend a good CJ mechanic in Cary (the Raleigh area)?

I have a 1980 CJ7 with an AMC 360 in it. I just moved here and I am having issues with my timing, which keeps getting knocked off. I had a mechanic reset a couple of times before i moved and it is off again. It usually runs good for about a month, the starts running really rough. The distributer is tight, so not really sure what is going on. I don't have the equipment to reset the timing myself and I can't keep paying to fix it.

Any ideas on the possible issue and how or who I can take it to fix it?

Timing chain and gears are probably worn out.

Yeah. Was thinking that, but the motor has less than 12,000 miles on it.

What about the distributor gear?

Good call. Distributer was loose the first time around. Might be it. I will check.

Hope they didn't put a cheap chain in it. You can buy one for $20bucks but they'll stretch bad and in no time.
