1985 CJ7, press the brake all the way way down but does not hold from rolling. If rear facing downhill it will roll; if front facing downhill it holds. Any ideas or tips?

Emergency brakes on these old rigs never would hold as well backwards as they would forward but should still hold. If your brakes are adjusted right the only other thing that it cold be is that the emergency brake cable is stretching. The adjustment for that is just behind the drivers side door, Just inside the frame. A cable with a threaded rod. Clean up the threads and tighten the cable some. be careful not to over tighten.
