Coil Spings

I just installed my 4.5" RE coils and springs have an arch to them. (The bumpstop rubs the spring).

Is this common? Has anyone had this issue? I have fixed lower control arms and adjustable uppers witht the uppers set 1" longer than stock. Could it be that I need to adjust the uppers so that the axle rotates, reducing the arch?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Sorry, I'm not exactly sure what to suggest. I installed a 3" lift on my cherokee and was able to re-use the upper and lower control arms. One of my bumpstops touched the spring, but only temporarily as I unloaded the spring, then when the spring was fully unloaded, I had no problems. It almost sounds like you need longer lower control arms?

Have you had it aligned since the lift? Are you sure your caster is correct?
